The FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship debuted in Misano last weekend, during the Pirelli Emilia-Romagna WorldSBK round. Maria Herrera (Klint Forward Factory Team) won the inaugural five-lap WorldWCR race and also Race 2 the following day, ahead of fellow Spaniard Ana Carrasco (Evan Bros Racing Yamaha Team) and Sara Sanchez (511 Terra&Vita Racing Team).  

The FIM and Dorna Sports have recently announced a new exciting project: the FIM Women’s Motorcycling World Championship. On launch in 2024, the initial series will primarily run alongside the Superbike World Championship.
